La Rue is a Copenhagen-based, independent ready-to-wear brand founded by Sofie Gade. The idea for La Rue grew from a desire to recreate those qualities in something new. Each piece is designed in Copenhagen and produced in small batches, using carefully selected materials including Italian-spun merino wool, cashmere, silk, and natural cotton. The collections are understated and considered, with an emphasis on quality, ease, and longevity.

La Rue is built around the belief that a wardrobe does not need more, but better. Every detail — from the weight of a yarn to the fall of a sleeve — is considered with the intention of creating pieces that become part of everyday life and remain relevant beyond a single season.

Still intentionally small, La Rue remains closely connected to its founder. Sofie works directly with production partners, packs every order herself, and is involved in every piece that leaves the studio.
