About La Rue
La Rue began the way most things worth keeping do, slowly. For years, I ran a curated vintage shop in Berlin. I spent my days searching for pieces that had already proven themselves: garments that had been worn, washed, loved, and still looked beautiful. What they all shared was the same thing, exceptional materials, honest construction, and a simplicity that felt timeless rather than plain.
Eventually, I stopped looking backwards and started asking: what if I could make those pieces new? La Rue is my answer. A small, independent ready-to-wear brand built on the belief that your wardrobe doesn't need more. Every piece is designed in Copenhagen and crafted in small batches using the materials I trust most: Italian-spun merino wool, cashmere, silk, and natural cotton.
I work directly with my production partners to ensure every detail is right. From the weight of the yarn to the fall of a sleeve. There are no shortcuts, no overproduction, and no trend-chasing. Just quiet essentials made to last. La Rue is still small, and I like it that way. I pack every order myself, I answer every email, and I stand behind every piece that leaves my studio. When you buy from La Rue, you're not buying from a brand, you're buying from me.
